John Hunt Annual Grandparents' & Special Friends' Day

We loved celebrating our Grandparents and Special Friends on Friday, October 3rd! It was a day full of smiles, hugs, and love for the special people who mean so much to our students. Congratulations to D.W. & Elicia Harper, grandparents of Lillianna, for winning our Free Tuition Raffle!

Senior Pals Program

Senior Pals is a wonderful, long-standing tradition that pairs a senior student with a K5 (Kindergarten) student, fostering meaningful, cross-age friendships within our school community. Throughout the year, pals participate in several fun and engaging meet-and-greet events, field trips, and celebrations together.

2024 - 2025 Teacher's of the Year

Congratulations to our 2024–2025 Teachers of the Year! Our Upper School Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Bethany Tanner, who has been part of our math department for 8 years.
Our Lower School Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Kari Collins, who has dedicated 17 years to Tiftarea Academy! We’re so thankful for the hard work, dedication, and love you pour into our students every day.

           Literary State Champions

Our Literary Team won the 2025 GISA AAA State Championship, the school’s second state title in four years.

Thomas Holt, Ridley Monk, Olivia Monfort, and Will Shelnutt earned individual state championships, and every team member who competed at state placed first, second, or third in their event. Congratulations to our champion

Lower School Art Show

At the end of the last school year, Mrs. Branch, our Lower School art teacher, organized an art exhibit in the library featuring projects from Pre-K through 5th grade. The exhibit beautifully displayed the creativity and hard work of our students. We are grateful for this excellent program and look forward to enjoying many more years of student artwork on display.

We are deeply grateful for his many years of guidance, vision, and support, which have helped shape the Academy into the thriving community it is today.

Mission & Philosophy

Tiftarea Academy believes strongly in its motto, "Committed to Excellence," by creating a Christian learning environment and promoting lifelong learning through academics, physical fitness, and school activities that enrich the curriculum.

Highlights

Chapel

Once a month, our school comes together for Chapel Day—a special time to grow in faith and fellowship. In December, we celebrated with a live nativity, inviting the community to join us as we shared the true meaning of Christmas and the values that guide our students every day.

Washington D.C.

At Tiftarea Academy, student travel brings learning to life. These experiences allow students to explore the places they’ve studied, connect classroom lessons to the real world, and broaden their understanding of history, culture, and community. Beginning in sixth grade, students embark on annual trips to destinations such as Atlanta and Washington, D.C., creating meaningful memories and a deeper appreciation for the world around them.

Youth of the Year

The Youth of the Year Award is a prestigious honor presented through the Exchange Club of Tifton. This program recognizes outstanding graduating seniors for excellence in academics, leadership, community service, and extracurricular involvement. Nominees from Tiftarea Academy and Tift County High School are celebrated, and one student is selected to represent the local Exchange Club in the state competition.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year, Tiftarea Academy’s Key Club joyfully serves through Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child ministry. Students volunteer their time to sort and pack shoeboxes filled with gifts and essentials that are sent to children around the world. Through this act of service, they share God’s love in a tangible way—bringing hope, joy, and the message of Christ to those in need.
